Using the Meal Planner Feature

eFit builds a personalized meal plan for you with AI. Answer a short set of questions about how you like to eat, and the planner writes a full day of meals matched to your goals, your activity level, and your budget.

Opening the Meal Planner

  1. Log in and open your Dashboard
  2. Choose Custom Programs, then Meal Planning, or go straight to the Meal Planner

The Custom Programs page also holds your Weight Training and Cardiovascular programs, so you can build all three in one place.

Tell the Planner How You Eat

The Plan Settings form asks seven quick questions:

  • Dietary restrictions: Vegan, Vegetarian, Mediterranean, Paleo, Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Low-carb, Low-fat, or None. Hold Ctrl (Cmd on Mac) to select more than one.
  • Health goal: Weight loss, Muscle gain, or Improved overall health
  • Activity level: Sedentary, Moderate, or Active
  • Favorite foods: the food groups you want your meals built around
  • Meals per day: 1 to 6
  • Snacks: include them or leave them out
  • Weekly budget: so the shopping list fits what you can actually spend

The planner also estimates your daily calorie needs from the height, weight, age, and sex in your eFit profile, so portions are sized for your body.

Generating Your Plan

Click Generate Plan and give it a few seconds to write your plan. Every plan includes:

  • Overview: a short summary of the nutritional approach
  • Each meal: a named dish with ingredients, portions, and approximate calories, protein, carbs, and fat
  • Daily nutrition summary: a table of your day's total calories and macros
  • Meal prep tips: ways to cook once and eat all day
  • Shopping list: the key ingredients to buy for the day

Living With Your Plan

  • Saved automatically: your plan is stored with your account and greets you with an Active badge next time you visit
  • Regenerate: open Customize Your Plan, change any answer, and click Regenerate Plan for a fresh menu
  • Print: use Print Plan to put a copy on the fridge or take the shopping list to the store
  • Expand: open the plan full screen for easier reading

A Note on Safety

Your meal plan is for informational purposes only. Talk with a healthcare professional before making significant dietary changes, especially if you have food allergies or a medical condition that affects what you can eat.
